Blake released a lot of music under the name "William The Third" for many years. After deciding to start releasing music under Blake, he still wanted his best songs to be available. This album contains 7 of "William The Third's" best music, including "Forty Precent", which was Blake's first ever single to be released.
Safely Home captures the bittersweet emotion that arises after the loss of a loved one. While grief weighs heavy, there is a comforting sense of peace in knowing they are no longer in pain and are, in a way, 'safe.' The piece was inspired by a poem I came across on the second anniversary of my Nana’s passing. In the midst of sorrow, it brought a quiet warmth—a reassuring voice reminding me that, though I mourn her absence, she is in a better place.
Blake Childers is a dynamic music composer, audio engineer, and artist known for his versatile works in choral, symphonic, orchestral, and film music; his mixing and mastering work in all genres; and his amazing solo work in genres such as Rock, Shoe Gaze, and Alternative. Born and raised in a small town in Kentucky, Blake's musical journey began at an early age. He joined his middle school band in 6th grade, where he first learned the trumpet, and continued to be an active band member throughout high school. It was during his sophomore year that Blake discovered a deep passion for music composition, both in regards to written composition AND digital music. He began creating small arrangements of pieces and took a particular interest in arranging music for a small jazz combo, which he assembled and wrote for on several occasions. He also messed around recording songs for his brothers and himself during high school, essentially self teaching himself how to record, mix, and master. Driven by his love and passion for music, Blake is currently studying for his Bachelor of Arts in Music and New Media at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
